The issue seems to be that the driver required for both the touchscreen AND the trackpad is, in fact, the same one - intel_hid - and it can't handle both devices at one and the same time. ![]() While - like all Dells - Linux support is good ( i.e., any distro will boot and run OOTB ), the general consensus seems to be that the Cypress TrueTouch MultiTouch Trackpad (I think I've got that right) is an absolute horror story under Linux. Some quick research reveals two things about the XPS. ![]()
